Bywell Sango

Born in 1979 in Guruve,Zimabawe. He is a younger brother of influential sculptor, Brighton Sango, an internationally recognized and widely collected sculptor who has broken from tradition and developed his own unique abstract cubist style. Bywell started sculpting at a young age assisting Brighton with the finishing of sculptures during his school holidays. Bywell has pursued a similar cubist style and has developed his own distinct interpretation of emotions and situations in their abstract form. The stone types he prefers to work with include Cobalt, Opal, Serpentine and Spring stone. His work has been exhibited internationally and at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, and is in collections worldwide.
